Piccini: “Valencia is our home and the Valencian people are our people”
The former Valencia CF footballer has helped those affected by the DANA storm with over 3,000 kg of food
Alessandro Florenzi was amongst those who spoke following Valencia CF's slim defeat at the hands of Eibar, and stressed the need to learn from the experience and use it to their advantage over the coming matchdays.
"We came here to play for the victory, but we didn't manage it. We have to learn from these mistakes. We know that there are few games to go, and on Sunday we have another match against direct rivals that is very important," said the Italian to VCF Media, looking ahead to the Matchday 32 contest with Villarreal CF.
"We have to pick ourselves back up quickly and not think about this defeat, because it hurts. We should have been able to do much more. The game on Sunday will serve for us to show who we are."
Like his coach, Albert Celades, Florenzi also noted that Valencia CF's form on the road needs an upturn if they are to get into Europe next season.
"We have to start winning more games away from home, and we have to begin by doing that on Sunday. No other result will do."
